Mrs. Kent first purchased four milkweed plants for migrating Monarchs. This was the inspiration for the project

Pollinator Paradise, based in Lakeland, Florida, was founded on the principle of creating a lasting outside learning experience for the use of all students and to coincide with all curriculums. This extensive habitat project will continue to serve as an engaging learning environment for years to come.

Our roots and passion

Pollinator Paradise was founded by the dedicated Kindergarten Team at R.W. Blake Academy, a Magnet Cambridge school in Lakeland, Florida. Our passion lies in rooting academics in project-based learning, supporting our curriculum and broader learning goals. We are committed to engaging our future leaders with an exciting and innovative program that ensures a positive and impactful experience in their educational journey.

Our unique project approach

Our projects typically span three to four weeks, with some evolving into longer, interconnected initiatives that can last for months. A prime example of our long-term commitment is our five-year plan to transform our entire campus into a thriving pollinator habitat. This hands-on, long-term project demonstrates our unique approach to education and community involvement.

When our projects are successfully completed, they make a significant positive difference for our students and the community. Our initiatives teach students vital skills such as innovation, the utilization of everyday objects, critical thinking, and much more. We actively collaborate with community partners to foster lasting change in education and beyond.
